Our Music (2025)

I worked on this film in a creative partnership with my brother Charles Wilson as the Wilson Brothers, for the Derby Museums Derby Yaadaañ Archive (Derby South Asian Heritage) supported by the Heritage Fund, in partnership with Black Country Visual Arts. My role in the project was primarily scene composition, research, narrative direction, drawing, character design and graphic design, working alongside my brother. The brief was use a two hour interview and photographs from the archive and to write a narrative, and compose each scene, condensed into a ten minute time frame. It was a fantastic opportunity to develop my research and filmmaking skills, and a privilege to translate Rashpal and Manjit Sandhu's story into an animated documentary.
